Boston Celtics-Zo and Kidd again were not enough to make the Celtics
elite like the hope was when they were brought in,Richmond was ineffective
this year as age caught up to him.Rodman was great on the boards as usual
but that still couldnt produce a championship caliber team.Freg Hoiberg
and Keon Clark look like bright spots for the future
Miami Heat-A team that looks good on paper regressed somewhat this season.
Mason,Jones and Blount were strong but the rest of the team just couldnt
click and find the minutes to be productive
New Jersey Nets-Proved the Critics wrong by sneaking into the playoffs
after being forcasted to be almost dead last.Johnson's winning attitude must
have rubbed off on the rest of the young Nets.
New York Knicks-All their build up draft picks finally materialized but
this team was too young to give Ewing the last stand he hoped for.
Orlando Magic-Pierce emerged as a superstar and carried this Magic team
but too many holes especially in the frontcoart led to their undoing
in the playoffs
Philadelphia 76er's-Grant Hill had his first loosing season in a while
on the doomy sixers, weak defence and not enough talent led to their
dismal record.
Washington Wizards-Broke the Pistons all time wins easily as their
starting 5 of Camby/Webber/Stojakovic/Iverson/Nash along with their
strong bench totally ravashed team all season and led to their sweep
in the finals.
Atlanta Hawks-Have a great foundation in Walker,Davis and Jackson but
the vets they brought in couldnt get the job done as they had hoped.
Charlotte Hornets-Dyess,Bibby,Finley and 19 wins?!!!.Probably one of
the most underacheving teams in Gens history.obviously this team
needs a major shakeup somewhere
Chicago Bulls-Started off strong but reality soon set in as Stackhouse
carried this team nightly on the scoring end but that didnt help
as they lost a large majority of their games.I guess Stack and Hill both
have been humbled big time this season on their new teams LOL
Cleveland Cavs-Billups is their only true star but the strong defensive
influence of Mutombo and the scoring of Robinson and Rider led this
team on a great run until they reached the playoffs lol
Detroit Pistons-51 wins is great for a rebuilding championship team from
last year.Odom,Marion and Miller proved that they will be stars in this
league along with the lotto pick they have from the Kings which
will definately bring in the missing piece.Does bad luck ever come this teams way? LOL
Indiana Pacers-Payton,Pippen and Miller want a championship badley but
they realized after a 1st round exit that 3 superstars dont
guarantee you a championship
Milwaukee Bucks-Duncan and Shaq,1st team all NBA is all I have to say. They
have a great team for now and the future, the Wizards need to watch out as
this team will only get more deadly with time.
Dallas Mavericks-I didnt expect to reach the finals but their strong
team play and mix of vet leadership and young talent propelled them
their,a slight mixup is all this team needs in order to bring home
the gold next season
Denver Nuggets-This team can win close to 60 games every season but
can't get it done in the playoffs,Denver fans are starting to wonder
why they can't get it done in the playoffs.Kemp is near passing his
prime and Anderson isnt getting any younger.LJ was brought in as the
missing piece but obviously he wasnt.
Houston Rockets-30 wins for a team that got to the finals 2 seasons ago,
The Dream obviously has no gas left in the tank and the rest of the team
is ready to move on.maybe thinking of rebuilding wouldnt be the worst idea
Minnesota Timberwolves-Barkely helped KG grow as a player alot but
the championship is still not ready for the Kid and the Kid isnt ready
for the championship just yet,T-Mac regressed some as the coach focused on Barkely
and Garnett on the offence but look out next year for T-Mac to come into his own.
San Antonio Spurs-Poor David Robinson, gets 2nd tier again stars and has
no athletism on his team every year and cant get the championship he has always wanted.
Maybe he just needs to retire since the Spurs refuse to trade him.
Utah Jazz-brought in Smits,Rice and Anderson over the year but that
still hasnt added up to a championship for the Mailman and Stockton
Vancouver Grizzlies-Obviously getting Sheed was a great idea but this team
needs more flat out scorers if they wanna get into the playoffs for the
1st time in franchise history.
Golden State Warriors-Wells and Williams give Warriors fans alot of
hope for the future but their is still one missing piece if they wanna
be regualars in the playoffs,Smith has regressed alot and obviously
isnt getting it done like his first few years in the leaugue.
Los Angles Clippers-Just like the real life NBA Clippers bad luck
follows them everywear, you think a linup of Cato/Rooks,Brand/Maggette/
Allen and Marbs with Manu off the bench they could do better than this,
but whats the excuse this year?
Los Angeles Lakers-Dirk,Penny and Miller are the next big three in Gens
as they proved they can get it done in the playoffs getting to
the western conference finals in their first year together, their
optimistic success will come back and stay and a new breed of showtime
will happen.
Phoenix Suns-The Barkely and KJ days are over and Allan Houston along
with some 2nd rate stars make up this team, they have a good team game going
on but obviously their lacking the atheltism on their team that is now
rampant on all the contending teams now in Gens.
Portland Traiblazers-Reef and Williams did their best to keep it
entertaining for the fans but managment waited too long to start
rebuidling so on this one it wasnt the players fault.
Sacramento Kings-The team that never could, couldnt again as AK47's
rookie season was cut short and the rest of the team was to inexperienced
to understand the word defence.Vin Baker came out of his slump but it
was too late as the Kings had to endure another loosing season.
Seattle Supersonics-Carter and Kobe clashed all season long on the touches
and it is obvious one or the other must go,im guessing Carter.Bobby Jax
had a great season as well as Rose who was effective off the bench as
they managed to make a stir in the playoffs.
